Research Reports
- Minimum 10 core coverage reports (4-5 coverage across each sector) to establish strong knowledge in particular assigned sectors coverage.
- 4 non-rated reports on annual basis to provide fresh investment ideas.
- Contribution to daily market reports to keep up-to-date on financial news flow.
Research Analysis
- Conduct thorough research and generate comprehensive research reports on assigned sector coverage to deliver high standard of research report.
- Built, develop and maintain financial models to forecast valuation of companies.
Customer Relationship and Branding Establishment
- Actively attend to private or organised briefings with PLC, particularly those under coverage as well as related companies in the assigned sector coverage.
- Present in institutional meetings, webinars and conference calls pertaining to assigned sector coverage to instil investment confidence and direction to participants.
- Present on updates of core coverage reports and economics report in daily morning briefings.
Others
- Assist closely the Head of Research on ad-hoc requests pertaining to research role to ensure tasks are completed within stipulated timeframe.
- Generate marginal list tabulation whenever necessary or required from credit risk management department to assist in risk management exposure.
Job Requirements
- Possess a recognised Degree in Business Studies, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 1 year of working experience in buy/sell side equity research
- Holder of Module 12&19/19A is an added advantages.
- Strong technical understanding of Malaysia equity markets.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
