Assistant Manager, Clearing & Branch Support

Job Description

  • Handle a team servicing the global multinational clients, large and medium size local corporate clients, local retailer clients and local remisiers.
  • Lead and guide a team member to provide high level and professional broking services.
  • Guide and coach new team member in daily operations.
  • Ensure knowledge retention in departments by reinforcing concepts through continuous staff learning.
  • Responsible for department budget and performance.
  • Support in business development initiatives.
  • Ensure process productivity and quality targets are set, monitored and achieved.
  • Handle multiple internal and external stakeholder management including Bursa Malaysia, Bursa depository, BNM, internal and external auditors and vendors.
  • Prepare reports and papers for Management deliberation including ad hoc request from time to time.

Job Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Banking and Finance, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
  • At least 5-7 years experiences in equity and/or derivatives trade settlement or any related financial products.
  • Good knowledge on clearing and settlement, depository rules and regulations for local and oversea market.
  • Highly adaptable to changes and ability to collaborate with cross-functional department.
  • Strong sense of responsibility with strong analytical and organizational skills.
